The first sign of Diwali is the array of clay lamps. There are booklets which have rangoli designs and Diwali diyas designs. The local shops are flooded with different types of diyas which are colourful and stylish. Girls love to do rangoli outside their house. There are customized greeting cards specially printed for this festival. We can give gifts like Diwali t shirts, lamps, diyas, dry fruit hampers, chocolate gift hampers, personalised candles, etc. Apart from these gifts we can give sweet boxes, which are favourite among everyone.

There are designer diyas in the market and in the online shops. We can find beads, mirror work, paints, sequin, wax filled diyas, meena kari, fabric colours shades, pearl and copper pearls, tikki work and cone work can be seen done on the diyas to make them more attractive. There are different shapes in which diyas are available like temple diya, lamp diyas, diya plate on which we can light more than one diya. The new designs have eye-catchy look and bright colours. Although they are expensive but they are perfect to decorate your house and the veranda or porch. The diyas have excellent finishing touch, they are light in weight, exquisite shapes like flowers and hearts. We can find diyas as round, hard, char mukhi, panch mukhi and matka shaped also.

We can buy a whole diya set, which are available in multi-colour combinations. We can also light candles in the water bowls. The bowls are filled with water upto 3/4th level and the rest is covered with oil, as oil will not mix with the water below it and the water will not come in the contact of the candles and its wick. The candles will remain lit due to the oil layer and personalized phots can be print through online digital photo printing.
